From immigrant
to 26 rental units
on a W-2 salary.

I moved to the U.S. from Togo at 16, worked as a software engineer, and built a multi-family portfolio without quitting my job. Now I show immigrants and working professionals how to buy their first building and keep going.

My story

Nobody handed me a playbook. So I built one.

I'm originally from Togo, West Africa. I came to the United States as a teenager with no money, no network, and a long list of immigration hurdles ahead of me. I worked hard, became a senior web developer, and still found myself living paycheck to paycheck.

Real estate changed that. I bought my first property in Omaha, Nebraska, then moved to Chicago in 2020 and house-hacked a three-unit building in Bronzeville using an FHA loan. I lived in one unit, rented the others, refinanced, and repeated.

Today I own 26 units across Chicagoland. I never quit my day job. I built systems for property management, tenant communication, and rehab coordination so the portfolio runs while I work. That's exactly what I teach.

How I got here

The habits that made the difference

01
Wake up early

The 5 AM Club. The portfolio was built before and after work hours, not instead of them.

02
Budget every dollar

Every dollar has a job. That discipline funded the first down payment and every one after.

03
Reinvest profits

Cash flow went back into the next deal, not into lifestyle. Compounding did the rest.

04
Track expenses monthly

You can't improve what you don't measure. Every property gets reviewed every month.

05
Network relentlessly

Property managers, lenders, and local investors. Deals and solutions come from people.

06
Build systems

As a software engineer I automate what I can. The portfolio should run without me.
